Lead Systems Engineer

About the Role

ADB Safegate is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role involves managing a maintenance team with direct responsibility for the upkeep of installed electronic systems and devices, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to project specifications.

Team Management Responsibilities

• Supervise, plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the work of employees.
• Adjust assignments, procedures, and schedules as necessary.
• Train other employees.
• Schedule and assign work, including programming overtime, vacations, and other time off.
• Participate in the selection process for subordinate personnel.
• Support the completion of performance evaluations for subordinate employees.
• Coordinate back-office support.

Maintenance Execution Responsibilities

• Manage the execution of maintenance tasks within the defined scope.
• Manage work orders, including issuance, execution, and reporting.
• Maintain records and prepare reports related to airfield maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure adequacy in spare parts, tools, equipment, vehicles, and other resources.
• Coordinate daily with the FM Contract Manager regarding the schedule of unplanned activities requiring extra staff support.
• Set up preventative, planned, and unplanned maintenance for the scope of works outlined in the maintenance plan.
• Follow up, evaluate, and optimize all Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures.
• Follow Corrective Maintenance Work Orders (CM WOs) and close completed WOs within the Computer Aided Facility Management System (CAFM).
• Prepare and submit Permit to Work (PTW) requests to the Customer Representative for approval in a proper and timely manner.
• Enforce safety rules and regulations and ensure work progresses according to project plans and specifications.
• Prepare, sign, and forward all required documents to the FM Contract Manager for approval before submission to the Customer Representative.
• Obtain cost figures and estimates for various accounts in the preparation of the maintenance contract budget.
• Make recommendations for additional capital equipment, replacement of existing equipment, and required spare parts.
• Schedule necessary actions with the FM Contract Manager for control, supervision, and actualization of technical documentation.
• Collaborate with the FM Contract Manager in defining facility management objectives, strategies, programs, procedures, and short- and long-term needs.
• Provide technical support for proposed modifications to facilities to optimize, improve efficiency, and prolong useful life.
• Be subject to regular on-call/re-call duties and participate in the Airport’s stand-by program.
• Be responsible for the achievement of the SLA contract Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess more than 10 years of experience in a relevant field, demonstrating a strong background in managing maintenance teams and electronic systems.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, requiring active participation in airport operational schedules, including on-call and standby programs.
