  • Apply masking to rotors and perform blast cleaning operations in a blast booth, ensuring adherence to established procedures and safety gear usage.
  • Handle rotors using forklifts and provide directions to crane operators for safe transport to and from the blast booth.
  • Monitor blast cleaning operations for safety, collect and recycle blast media, and maintain cleanliness of blast facilities, including dust disposal.
  • Accurately measure rotors and components using inside/outside micrometers and vernier calipers.
  • Perform stacking and uninstalling of impellers to/from compressor shafts using the shrink fitting method with gas torches, under supervision.
  • Execute run-out correction of impellers and remove/reassemble small rotor parts, under supervision.
  • Remove and reassemble coupling hubs and thrust discs using the hydro fitting method.
  • Conduct balding work of turbine rotors and dynamic balancing of rotors and components using a balancing machine, under expert supervision.
  • Measure heated impellers' inside diameter smoothly and quickly with an inside micrometer and surface temperature using a contact thermometer before shrink fitting.
  • Perform cleaning, hand finishing, and unbalance correction of impellers using a grinder, following directions from a machinist or engineer.
  • Raise and lower rotors in cooperation with a crane operator, checking the level of impellers and their table before stacking.
  • Measure gaps using a feeler gauge and smooth out surface imperfections (corrosion, dents, scratches) on rotors as per engineer's directions.
  • Apply short-term rust preventive oil during works and long-term rust preventive oil before shipment, and perform packing work according to procedures.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks on blast machines, VTL, CNC lathes (in cooperation with machinists), and balancing machines (in cooperation with machinists).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment is kept in like-new appearance according to maintenance plans.
  • Perform UN-balding and balding onto GT rotors, and coupling blued checks (coupling surface contact check).
  • Execute any other tasks within the area of specialty as assigned by the line manager.

Required Qualifications
