About the Role

Matar Al-Baqami Holding is seeking a dedicated and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time role is central to managing strategic sourcing, optimizing costs, and ensuring the continuity of supply for all procurement activities within our operations.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization across all procurement activities. This includes raw materials, packaging, spare parts, services, and capital expenditure-related procurement. The position ensures cost efficiency, consistent supply, quality compliance, robust governance, and effective risk control, directly supporting production, biosecurity, and operational excellence across feed mills and poultry operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with operational and financial objectives.
  • Lead the sourcing of critical raw materials (*, corn, soybean meal, additives, packaging, veterinary items, fuel) through benchmarking, tendering, and negotiation.
  • Achieve year-on-year cost savings, monitor commodity markets, track savings realization with Finance, and support budgeting.
  • Prequalify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, biosecurity, and ESG standards, while managing supplier risks.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Feed Formulation, Poultry Operations, Quality, and Logistics to ensure uninterrupted supply and coordinate procurement planning.
  • Lead the preparation and review of contracts, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and commercial terms, ensuring compliance with internal approval processes and delegation of authority.
  • Ensure all procurement activities are executed through the ERP system, maintaining accurate vendor data, pricing, and contract records, and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Lead and develop the procurement team, setting objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and fostering a culture of accountability, ethics, and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or PMP are considered an advantage.

Experience and Skills

  • 8–12 years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong background and exposure to agriculture, feed mills, poultry, FMCG, or commodity-based industries.
  • Proven expertise in raw material sourcing, commodity procurement, and contract negotiation.
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP-based procurement systems; D365 experience is preferred.

This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern Province.
