About the Opportunity

MM Management Consultant is seeking a QA Mechanical Supervisor JIS to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time role involves overseeing Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) functions at project sites, ensuring adherence to established quality plans, procedures, and international standards throughout all construction phases.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to supervise the operation of QA/QC functions at project sites by implementing the Project Quality Plans and Procedures. The Supervisor ensures compliance with Company QC procedures, international standards, and specific contract requirements for all phases of construction activities and acceptance criteria of the project scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Mechanical & Welding QC Inspectors for monitoring daily construction activities.
• Review construction method statements and provide comments based on project specifications, procedures, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Conduct regular site visits to foresee potential deficiencies, sharing insights with the construction crew and guiding QC Inspectors.
• Initiate internal Log Book Entries/Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) to the construction crew for effective implementation of project quality plan, ITP’s, written procedures, project specifications, and Issued For Construction (IFC) drawings.
• Coordinate with Client inspectors to receive feedback on open log book entries and prepare corrective actions to close violations.
• Emphasize the control of documents and records by advising document controllers and QC Inspectors.
• Provide assistance to the Project QC Manager in organizing a Quality Control Project Inspection Unit for Mechanical works activities covering the job contractual scope.
• Maintain a record of job specifications and/or acceptance criteria for items covered during inspection.

Coordination and Development

• Coordinate with the QC Supervisor Welding for compiling Welding and NDT records in the database, in preparation for Hydrotest Packages before the commencement of Hydrotesting completed systems.
• Coordinate with NDT agencies for inspection & testing requirements, ensuring the availability of QC Inspectors during all operations.
• Possess supervisory capabilities to handle, motivate, and train QC Mechanical Inspectors within the team for full development.
• Coordinate with Production Units Work Supervisors for required QC Inspections during the work process.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant QA/QC mechanical supervisory role.
• Demonstrated experience in the installation of equipment including, but not limited to, pumps, motors, skids, valves, vessels, compressors, fired heaters, auxiliary equipment, and packaged equipment in plant construction.
• Prior experience working in the Middle East is required for this position.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern Province, requiring active engagement within project site environments to ensure stringent quality control standards are met.
