About the Role

Matar Al-Baqami Holding is seeking a dedicated and experienced QA/QC In Charge - HVAC Coil to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time role requires over 10 years of experience and is central to ensuring the highest quality standards in HVAC coil manufacturing.

The primary purpose of this position is to lead and manage all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities within the HVAC coil manufacturing facility. The incumbent will ensure products consistently comply with customer requirements, industry standards such as ASHRAE and ISO, and all relevant regulatory guidelines, while actively driving continuous improvement and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities

This role involves comprehensive oversight of quality operations, from strategic planning to hands-on implementation and team leadership. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining robust QA/QC policies, procedures, and standards.
• Leading and mentoring the QA/QC team, fostering a strong quality culture across the organization.
• Supervising and conducting thorough inspection and testing procedures across the entire production cycle.
• Managing non-conformities, leading root cause analysis, and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards (ASHRAE, ISO 9001) and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Acting as the primary quality interface for customers and suppliers regarding quality-related matters.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and monitoring key quality performance metrics.

Quality System Management and Compliance

The incumbent will be responsible for the establishment and rigorous maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS). This includes acting as the process owner for all quality-related systems and activities, defining and monitoring quality metrics for all manufacturing processes, and ensuring adherence to established guidelines.

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive QA/QC policies, procedures, and standards.
• Implement and manage the Quality Management System (QMS), including incident management, corrective actions, and improvements.
• Ensure full compliance with ASHRAE, ISO 9001, and all applicable regulatory standards.
• Maintain ISO documentation and certification requirements, planning and conducting internal audits, and supporting third-party audits.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance within all quality activities.

Inspection, Testing, and Non-Conformance Management

A critical aspect of this role involves overseeing all inspection and testing phases to guarantee product integrity and performance. The QA/QC In Charge will also lead efforts in identifying and resolving quality issues.

• Develop, review, and approve detailed inspection and testing procedures.
• Supervise and conduct inward material inspections, in-process inspections (Fins, Expanding, Brazing, Tube Sheet, CNC end plate grinding), and final product testing (leak, pressure, dimensional, performance).
• Ensure proper painting, packing, and pre-dispatch inspections, including sample approvals, first setting reports, and final product validations.
• Identify, document, and manage non-conformities (NCRs), leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor scrap levels, analyze defects and rejections, and prepare reports on malfunctions and corrective actions.

Team Leadership and Stakeholder Collaboration

This role requires strong leadership to cultivate a quality-focused environment and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

• Lead, manage, and mentor the QA/QC team, including inspectors, technicians, and auditors, aligning manpower with production shifts and schedules.
• Conduct regular training on quality standards, inspection methods, and safety protocols.
• Act as the primary quality interface with customers, handling complaints and supporting customer audits, inspections, and certifications.
• Evaluate, approve, and audit suppliers based on quality requirements, coordinating incoming material inspections.
• Work closely with production teams to embed quality throughout manufacturing processes, supporting process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor the entire production cycle to identify potential quality risks early and coordinate quality checks during maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position must demonstrate a strong technical background and extensive experience in quality assurance and control within a manufacturing environment.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, HVAC, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
• Strong knowledge of DX, condenser, evaporator, and chilled water coils.
• Hands-on experience with ISO audits, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and various quality tools.
