About the Mechanical Technician Role

Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician for a full-time position in Dammam. This role is crucial for maintaining mechanical equipment, ensuring operational wellness, and contributing to plant productivity through effective maintenance practices and adherence to safety instructions. The position requires a candidate with 2 to 10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for a range of duties focused on equipment maintenance and repair. This includes:

• Collaborating with the Rolling Mill Maintenance team to perform mechanical equipment repairs and refurbishments, both planned and during breakdowns, in the maintenance outpost shop.
• Conducting troubleshooting within the rolling mill environment.
• Performing inspections and mechanical work within the designated area of responsibility, adhering to instructions from the Senior Technician.
• Ensuring timely completion and quality implementation of maintenance tasks according to plan objectives.
• Reporting on relevant activities and the status of assigned maintenance tasks.
• Monitoring and addressing safety aspects related to the workplace, tools, facilities, and subordinates.
• Carrying out mill maintenance fittings work.
• Responding promptly to calls during production stages and delays.
• Reporting any malfunctioning equipment or process demands to the immediate Senior Technician or Foreman.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy work area.
• Seeking permission from the Senior Technician before disabling any safety interlocks.
• Demonstrating flexibility while working in rolling mill and repair shop areas.
• Reporting all job activities performed during the shift to the Mill Foreman before leaving the site.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E)

Adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies is paramount. This includes:

• Understanding and following organizational HS&E policies.
• Familiarizing with job-specific safety instructions.
• Maintaining provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in good working condition.
• Reporting all accidents, near misses, or hazardous conditions to the responsible personnel.
• Attending scheduled safety training sessions.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 10 years of experience in a relevant mechanical maintenance role.
• Proven ability to perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Familiarity with rolling mill operations and maintenance is advantageous.

This is a full-time position based in Dammam. The role involves working within plant environments, including rolling mills and repair shops, requiring flexibility and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
