The Role of Legal Assistant

Hikmah is seeking a Legal Assistant to support arbitration matters remotely. This full-time role, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focuses on legal research and summarizing submissions and documents. It is primarily a research and procedural support position, and does not involve decision-making or direct communication with parties on the merits, except as directed by an arbitrator.

Key Responsibilities

Conducting legal and regulatory research and preparing concise research notes.
Summarizing parties’ submissions, documents, and arguments accurately and impartially.
Reviewing and organizing case files.
Preparing case summaries and chronologies of facts and procedural steps.
Drafting initial correspondence and notices under the arbitrator’s supervision.
Tracking deadlines and procedural steps.
Supporting virtual hearings and related logistics.
Maintaining the confidentiality of case materials.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in a legal support role, ideally with exposure to arbitration or dispute resolution. Strong research and organizational skills are essential for this position.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, remote position, offering the flexibility to work from various locations while supporting arbitration matters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role emphasizes independent work within a structured procedural framework.
