About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Consultant - Dermatology to provide specialized dermatology care within the ICC physical clinic in Riyadh. This part-time, in-person role focuses on evaluating, diagnosing, and managing a broad range of acute and chronic dermatological conditions, ensuring continuity of care and adherence to evidence-based practices. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive, in-person dermatology care during scheduled part-time clinic sessions, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations, including history taking, full skin examination, and review of relevant laboratory and histopathology findings.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based management plans, including medication management, minor in-clinic procedures, and referrals when indicated.
  • Manage common dermatology conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, and benign skin lesions, ensuring care coordination with the full-time clinical team.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver integrated, patient-centered care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) to support seamless handover and continuity of care.
  • Promote skin health through preventive counseling, including sun protection and skin cancer awareness.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, providing clear guidance on diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards, maintaining accurate and complete medical documentation.
  • Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based dermatology practice and in-clinic regulations through continuous professional development.
  • Contribute to clinical governance by participating in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and regulatory compliance programs.

Clinical Documentation and EHR Proficiency

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation in the EHR in compliance with organizational policies and data privacy regulations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the clinic's EHR system to ensure efficient and well-documented consultations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and adopt system enhancements and best practices.

Patient Safety and Satisfaction

  • Uphold the highest standards of patient safety by delivering safe, evidence-based care and adhering to established clinical safety protocols.
  • Identify, report, and escalate patient safety risks, incidents, and quality concerns.
  • Counsel patients and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, medication use, potential adverse effects, and follow-up care.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered consultations through effective communication, comprehensive clinical assessment, empathy, and shared decision-making.

Collaboration and Professional Development

  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care and optimize clinical outcomes.
  • Provide clinical expertise and recommendations to support evidence-based decision-making and integrated care planning.
  • Facilitate clear and timely communication among healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Maintain and continuously enhance clinical knowledge in dermatology and in-person best practices, integrating the latest clinical evidence into practice.
