About the Cook II Role

Marriott International is seeking a Cook II to join our full-time culinary team in Riyadh. This role is central to maintaining high culinary standards and contributing to exceptional guest experiences through meticulous food preparation and presentation. The Cook II works as part of a dedicated team, focusing on skill development and adherence to culinary guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients and cook them according to established recipes and menus.
• Cook food items and prepare high-quality dishes within specified deadlines.
• Test dishes to verify proper preparation and temperature.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
• Ensure the hygiene and cleanliness of all work surfaces and food storage containers.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated teamwork skills and strong attention to detail.
• A positive mindset and an outgoing personality.
• Previous kitchen experience is considered a significant asset.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is recommended.
• At least 1 year of related work experience is recommended.
• No supervisory experience is required for this position.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role requires the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 lb (11 kg). It also involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and maintaining a neat, professional appearance in a clean uniform. Successful candidates will be required to complete training and obtain a safety certificate prior to starting the position.
