About the Role

Role Purpose

The Database Administrator Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive administration, maintenance, monitoring, and support of organizational databases. The primary objective is to ensure optimal availability, performance, security, and data integrity across all database systems. This role involves critical functions such as database administration, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, performance optimization, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and administer database systems.
• Monitor database availability, performance, capacity, and overall health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and performance issues.
• Perform database backup, recovery, and restoration activities.
• Support database security, access controls, and user permissions.
• Perform database maintenance, updates, patches, and performance optimization.
• Maintain database documentation, configurations, and operational records.
• Coordinate and escalate complex database issues to relevant teams or vendors.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in database administration or a closely related field, demonstrating proficiency in the responsibilities outlined.
