The Role of Design Engineer

CDHorizon Saudi Arabia is seeking a Design Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to delivering innovative, safe, and cost-effective formwork and scaffolding solutions that align with project requirements and client expectations. The position integrates engineering design, technical coordination, and commercial awareness to develop optimized solutions from the tender stage through to project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare designs and calculations for formwork and scaffolding systems in accordance with project specifications.
• Coordinate with project team members and the sales team to meet client requirements.
• Review technical project requirements to develop optimal and economical designs that satisfy client expectations.
• Prepare all tender drawings and material lists for formwork and scaffolding systems.
• Ensure all designs adhere to safety standards, design codes, specifications, and quality standards.
• Provide technical support during project execution as needed.
• Accurately prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material lists for formwork and scaffolding systems.
• Attend technical meetings with clients and consultants to secure design approval prior to execution.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in Formwork & Scaffolding systems.
• Proven experience in structural design and proficiency with software such as SAP 2000, ETABS, RSTAB (Advanced), Tipo's, and Idea Statics.
• Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D is required.
• Demonstrated experience in design, structural calculations, material list preparation, and coordination with clients and sales teams.
• A background in Steel Structure will be considered an additional advantage.
