About the Role

Ecolab is seeking a Design & Proposal Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is central to developing comprehensive technical and commercial proposals for advanced water treatment systems, ensuring solutions meet client specifications and industry standards. The role involves a deep understanding of various water treatment technologies and a commitment to delivering optimized, competitive proposals.

Proposal Development Responsibilities

The Design & Proposal Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end development of proposals for various water treatment systems. Key tasks include:

• Preparing technical and commercial proposals for water treatment systems such as ETP, STP, RO, MBBR, UF, ZLD, and UPW.
• Reviewing tender documents, specifications, and client requirements to accurately define the scope of work.
• Developing process flow diagrams, performing equipment sizing, and creating preliminary layouts for proposed solutions.
• Providing essential technical clarifications during the bidding and negotiation phases of projects.
• Supporting sales teams by delivering technical presentations and explaining complex solution details to clients.

Costing and Estimation

A critical aspect of this role involves detailed financial planning and optimization for proposed projects:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates, encompassing equipment, materials, manpower, and subcontracting services.
• Optimizing proposed solutions to achieve a balance between performance, cost-effectiveness, and market competitiveness.
• Liaising with various vendors and suppliers to obtain necessary technical and commercial quotations.

Project Execution Support

Beyond initial proposals, the engineer will also contribute to project finalization and ongoing collaboration:

• Preparing Bid Evaluation Plan (BEP) and post-order documents.
• Engaging in discussions with clients and consultants to secure engineering approval.

Candidate Profile and Experience

Candidates for this position are required to possess substantial experience in the field. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is essential. The role also offers exposure to international projects across diverse geographical regions, requiring a broad understanding of global project dynamics and standards.
