About Bank of Jordan (KSA)

Bank of Jordan (KSA) is seeking a Head of IT to oversee IT systems operations across its Saudi branches. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, and requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in the field.

Role Purpose

The Head of IT is responsible for implementing agreed IT plans and supporting the development and enhancement of the technology infrastructure necessary for the Bank’s operations. This role ensures the availability, performance, continuity, and efficiency of banking systems, payment platforms, applications, databases, networks, and related infrastructure, aligning with the Bank’s IT strategy, policies, regulatory requirements, business needs, and technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in developing IT policies and procedures for Saudi branches, aligning with the Bank’s overall IT direction and coordinating with Head Office IT.
• Implement the approved IT strategy, annual objectives, and operational plans within agreed budgets, in coordination with Head Office IT and the CEO – Saudi Branches.
• Lead and supervise the IT team, setting annual objectives, monitoring daily performance, evaluating employees, and supporting their professional development.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of IT systems, hardware, services, and technology solutions, including technical and financial assessments of vendor proposals and tenders.
• Oversee data backup activities and ensure business continuity, managing the primary data center and disaster recovery site, and maintaining effective connectivity and data synchronization.
• Assess current and future business and user requirements, coordinating the development and enhancement of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Regularly monitor the availability, reliability, continuity, and performance of information systems, communication platforms, operating systems, networks, and related technology infrastructure.
• Review and analyze system incidents, preparing reports on banking systems, payment applications, databases, backup solutions, and communication systems, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented.
• Stay informed of technological developments and ensure appropriate information security, confidentiality, and protection measures are applied across systems, devices, and networks.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, service requirements, and agreed timelines.
• Ensure daily IT operations adhere to approved policies, procedures, controls, and delegated authorities.
• Review operational and control reports, as well as internal and external audit findings, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Information Technology.
• Demonstrated experience in overseeing IT systems operations and infrastructure development.
• Proven ability to lead and supervise IT teams.

Work Environment

This role operates within the Bank of Jordan (KSA) branches in Riyadh, focusing on maintaining and enhancing the technological backbone of the institution. The position involves close coordination with Head Office IT and the CEO – Saudi Branches.
