About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a dedicated Host/Hostess to join our full-time team in Riyadh. This role is fundamental to creating a welcoming first impression for guests, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring a smooth dining experience from arrival to departure. The ideal candidate will have 0-1 years of experience in a similar guest-facing role.

Guest Service and Seating Management

• Greet guests upon arrival and accurately determine the number in their party.
• Seat guests efficiently by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and presenting clean, current menus.
• Guide guests through the dining rooms and provide any necessary assistance.
• Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings to organize seating for groups, including those with special needs.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service flow, safety, and the overall well-being of guests.

Operational Standards and Support

• Ensure place settings are appropriate, with each guest having a napkin, clean silverware, and all standard items.
• Check menus regularly to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, adhering to clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures, reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Professional Conduct and Teamwork

• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with others, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support the team in reaching common goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all aspects of the role.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.

Experience and Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a guest service or hospitality environment.
• Completion of required safety training and certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to company policies and procedures.
