Host/Hostess

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Host/Hostess to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves greeting guests, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring a positive dining experience. The Host/Hostess plays a key part in maintaining dining room standards and delivering excellent guest service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and determine the size of their party.
• Seat guests at clean, available tables, ensuring chairs are pulled out and current menus are provided.
• Guide guests through dining areas and offer assistance as needed.
• Arrange tables, chairs, and settings, including organizing seating for groups with special requirements.
• Verify that place settings are appropriate, with each guest having a napkin, clean silverware, and standard items.
• Inspect menus for currency, cleanliness, quantity, and a wrinkle-free appearance.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day by following clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well-being.
• Adhere to all company safety and security policies; report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management; and complete required safety training.
• Ensure a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or * equivalent.
• Experience: No related work experience is required for this position.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
• License or Certification: None.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the hospitality sector at Marriott International. The role requires interaction with guests and team members in a dynamic dining environment.
