About the Hostess Role

Marriott International is seeking a Hostess to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience in hospitality. The Hostess plays a key role in creating a welcoming first impression for guests and ensuring a smooth, organized dining experience.

Guest Experience and Seating Management

• Greet guests promptly upon arrival and determine the number in their party.
• Seat guests efficiently by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and placing current menus.
• Guide guests through the dining rooms and provide any necessary assistance.
• Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings to organize seating for groups, including those with special needs.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service needs, safety, and the overall well-being of guests.

Operational Standards and Cleanliness

• Ensure place settings are appropriate, with each guest having a napkin, clean silverware, and all standard items.
• Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
• Maintain the cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.

Professional Conduct and Team Collaboration

• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support the team in achieving common goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and service standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.

Additional Duties and Company Expectations

• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
