About the Internship

Mercer, part of Marsh (NYSE: MRSH), is offering a 6-month paid internship in Investment Consulting based in Riyadh. This internship provides an opportunity for recent graduates or those completing their degrees to gain practical experience in investment management, working directly with client portfolios.

Role Overview

This role is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are seeking a hands-on introduction to investment consulting. Interns will function as analysts, contributing to core activities that support client investment strategies and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

• Participating in investment manager searches, asset allocation studies, and portfolio construction reviews.
• Assisting in the development of client-facing materials, including analysis, commentary, performance reporting, and advice.
• Operating Mercer's proprietary tools for analyzing asset allocations and investment managers, and critically evaluating results.
• Communicating with investment managers, record keepers, and custodians to obtain or clarify client data.
• Supporting investment consultants in managing client and prospect relationships.
• Contributing to internal projects and addressing ad-hoc inquiries from clients, managers, auditors, and colleagues.
• Engaging in discussions with clients and colleagues across all levels.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated analytical skills, including comfort with numerical data and an understanding of nuances, along with proficiency in Excel.
• Prior exposure to data analysis and the creation of clear presentations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A genuine interest in continuous learning and skill development.
• Adaptability to changing deadlines and client requirements.
• Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Actively working towards a CFA designation.
