About the Role

WETICO, a part of Abunayyan Holding, is seeking a Lead Production Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading a team of production engineers and overseeing the technical execution of fabrication, welding, and assembly for oil & gas, petrochemical, and water-treatment packages. The Lead Production Engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance with technical specifications and international codes, while driving productivity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise production engineers across various fabrication areas, providing mentorship and development.
• Translate engineering drawings and specifications into executable job packs and detailed cutting/fit-up plans.
• Plan and sequence production activities to optimize resource utilization and meet project schedules.
• Ensure strict adherence to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS/PQR) and relevant codes such as Aramco, ASME, API, and AWS.
• Prepare and review method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and technical calculations.
• Monitor production progress, productivity, and rework rates, and resolve technical execution issues promptly.
• Investigate non-conformities and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Interface with Quality Control (QC) teams regarding inspection stages, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and dimensional control.
• Support man-hour estimation and material take-off for planning and costing purposes.
• Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements and safe execution methods on the production lines.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and Lean methodologies.
• Report technical progress and issues directly to the Production Manager.
• Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a world-class or Aramco-tier fabrication environment, including involvement in complex and critical projects.
• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in digital engineering/production systems and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) / Lean methodologies.
• Proven track record of achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to first-time-right quality, productivity, and zero-incident performance.

Technical Skills and Certifications

• Mandatory certifications include CSWIP / AWS-CWI, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and NEBOSH.
• PMP certification is preferred.
