About the Role

Watania Steel is seeking a Legal Specialist / Legal Consultant to provide comprehensive legal support and advisory services. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves supporting the company's commercial and operational activities. The role requires strong corporate and commercial legal expertise, along with deep knowledge of the Saudi legal and regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice and support on daily commercial, corporate, and operational matters.
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, agreements, service agreements, NDAs, and other legal documents.
Review contractual terms to identify potential legal, commercial, and regulatory risks.
Support contract negotiations with suppliers, contractors, customers, and other business partners.
Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi laws, regulations, and company policies.
Conduct legal research and provide practical legal opinions and recommendations to management.
Manage and maintain legal documentation, including contracts, notices, claims, and correspondence.
Coordinate with external legal counsel, government authorities, and other relevant stakeholders as required.
Support the company in handling disputes, claims, and other legal matters.
Monitor changes in Saudi laws and regulations and assess their potential impact on the company’s business activities.
Coordinate with internal departments, including Procurement, Finance, HR, Operations, Maintenance, and Administration, to address legal requirements and risks.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience: 2–7 years of relevant legal experience.
Education: A degree in Law or an equivalent legal qualification is preferred.
Nationality: Saudi nationals are preferred. Qualified and experienced expatriates are also acceptable, particularly those currently residing in KSA with solid knowledge of the Saudi legal and business environment.
Legal Areas: Experience in commercial contracts, corporate matters, compliance, legal advisory, disputes, and regulatory matters.
Industry Experience: Hands-on legal experience within steel manufacturing, heavy industry, manufacturing, construction, or a similar industrial environment is preferred.

Required Skills

Legal Knowledge: Strong knowledge of relevant Saudi laws, regulations, contractual principles, and commercial practices.
Key Skills: Proficiency in contract drafting and review, legal research, negotiation, risk assessment, compliance, dispute management, and effective legal advisory.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
