About the Opportunity

Mastek is seeking a Power BI Developer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on advanced data analytics and reporting, with a key responsibility for migrating existing reports from SAP Business Objects to Power BI. The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in data analytics and business intelligence, contributing to robust reporting solutions.

Role Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Integrate diverse data sources, construct efficient data models, and apply Power Query and DAX to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reporting readiness.
• Implement Row-Level Security, uphold data governance standards, and ensure all reports comply with regulatory and audit requirements.
• Monitor and optimize report and dataset performance to achieve fast load times, reliable refresh cycles, and a stable analytics environment.
• Collaborate with business units to gather requirements, iterate on design concepts, and ensure delivered solutions achieve adoption and value.
• Proactively identify opportunities for enhancement, facilitate the retirement of redundant reports, and align analytics outputs with evolving business and data platform needs.
• Manage Power BI Service workspaces, datasets, gateway configurations, and production deployments to maintain a well-governed analytics environment.

Essential Qualifications

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in data analytics and business intelligence.
• Demonstrated experience with SAP Business Objects (SAP BO) in conjunction with Power BI.
• Proficiency in Python is required.
• Mandatory experience within the Core Banking sector.

Technical Expertise

Candidates should possess strong technical skills in data integration, modeling, and visualization. This includes expertise in Power Query for data transformation and DAX for complex calculations within Power BI. A solid understanding of implementing Row-Level Security and managing Power BI Service components is crucial for maintaining a secure and efficient analytics platform.

Project Context and Scope

This role is central to a strategic initiative involving the migration of existing reporting infrastructure from SAP Business Objects to Power BI. The developer will play a key part in shaping the future of data reporting, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business objectives and data platform evolution.
