About Alfanar Electric and the Role

Alfanar Electric, the industrial arm of Alfanar Projects, specializes in manufacturing a diverse range of low, medium, and high voltage electrical construction products. We are seeking a Product Line Manager - Automation to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to implementing business strategies for effective product management, fostering cross-functional collaboration to promote offerings, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction. The manager will drive synergy across Alfanar units for strategic market development, analyze market trends, and provide continuous strategic direction. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Market Strategy and Business Development

• Understand and capture customer needs, defining new offer scope and specifications aligned with market requirements and company strategy.
• Participate in customer seminars, meetings, workshops, and events to promote product offerings.
• Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
• Establish and grow relationships with strategic partners.
• Conduct market research, validation, and analysis to identify new opportunities for existing and new product lines.
• Regularly perform competitive analysis of technical and commercial offers, identifying needs for enhancement to maintain competitiveness and monitor market price trends.
• Identify market trends, disruptions, and opportunities, driving initiatives to capitalize on them.

Product Lifecycle and Launch Management

• Define price positioning across all Go-To-Markets and geographies to capture offer value and ensure competitiveness.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure quick time-to-market and optimal resource utilization.
• Lead product optimization and standardization efforts with R&D and design teams to improve process performance and increase productivity.
• Drive product launches, working with public relations, executives, and other product management team members.
• Participate in the proposal response process, offer forecasting, and plan accuracy, ensuring appropriate inventory levels and competitive lead times.
• Focus on excess & obsolete (E&O) trends and provide strategic actions to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.

Leadership and Team Development

• Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers, exposing them to create a robust second line of management.
• Recognize low performers and guide them towards improvement or manage their release.
• Treat subordinates equally without discrimination, using performance against planned results as the primary assessment criterion.
• Ensure the availability of a delegation of authority matrix to provide sufficient delegations as per company policy.

Strategic Planning and Operational Oversight

• Take full responsibility for operations as per the job description and required deliverables, adhering to general company guidelines.
• Anticipate problems and implement proactive steps to prevent them, making necessary and proper timely decisions.
• Deliver required results in a timely manner with specified quality and cost.
• Transform corporate goals into actionable business plans, planning, following up, and executing annual or development plans.
• Monitor plan performance, initiate actions to strengthen results, and take corrective measures as needed, providing periodic work progress reports.
• Responsible for monitoring and controlling budgets and expenses to achieve optimum cost efficiency.
• Develop the organizational structure according to current requirements, considering future and development plans, and ensure job descriptions are available for all roles.
• Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities.
• Be conversant with and able to navigate IT solutions relevant to the job and business, promoting automated systems and their full utilization.
• Act in accordance with quality standards, recognizing quality as Alfanar's prime competitive advantage.
• Adapt to new and alternative techniques, technologies, management structures, and business models.
• Ensure a safe, secure, and legal work environment as per standard regulations.
