About the Project Director – Aviation Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a highly experienced Project Director – Aviation to lead a significant international airport development program in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a professional with a proven track record in managing complex aviation infrastructure projects.

Role Overview and Accountability

The Project Director will be the primary point of accountability for the successful delivery of all scope within both Terminal and Airfield packages. This role involves providing comprehensive direction across the entire airport project, ensuring that service delivery excellence is achieved by the multidisciplinary project team. The objective is to realize the client's vision for an innovative, technology-driven, and future-proof world-class airport.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership throughout the project life-cycle, ensuring client objectives are met by third-party consultants and the construction supply chain.
• Manage overall project scope and delivery, ensuring the highest standards of design excellence, quality, sustainability, environmental compliance, and safety are upheld by multiple consultancies and contractors.
• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and aviation regulations.
• Oversee coordination of construction activities within live airport operational environments, minimizing disruption.
• Collaborate with design, commercial, project controls, ORAT, and stakeholder teams for integrated delivery.
• Lead constructability reviews and ensure modular and Design & Build efficiencies are incorporated into execution strategies.
• Manage interfaces between terminal works, airside systems, utilities, and landside infrastructure.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 20 years of experience on major aviation and infrastructure programs.
• Demonstrated success in delivering large airports within Design & Build (D&B), EPC, or modular delivery frameworks.
• Strong understanding of airport operational constraints, logistics planning, and phased construction methodologies.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and standards, including international codes and standards relevant to the aviation sector.
