Purchasing Supervisor

About the Role

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to join the Finance team at Holiday Inn Riyadh Rose Yard. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, requires 2-5 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will support the hotel's purchasing operations by coordinating procurement activities and managing supplier relationships.

Role Purpose

The Purchasing Supervisor ensures the timely availability of goods and services while maintaining compliance with IHG standards, internal controls, and local regulations. This role is integral to the efficient functioning of the hotel's financial and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders in accordance with hotel policies.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Stores and Receiving to maintain adequate stock.
• Review quotations and assist in obtaining competitive pricing while meeting quality standards.
• Verify purchase documentation to ensure accuracy and proper authorization.
• Follow up on outstanding orders and resolve delivery or supplier issues promptly.
• Coordinate with department heads to support operational purchasing requirements.
• Review supplier invoices and coordinate with Finance to resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier documentation.
• Ensure compliance with IHG purchasing policies, internal controls, and local statutory requirements.
• Support inventory counts, procurement reporting, and audit activities as required.
• Perform other purchasing-related duties as assigned by the Director of Finance & Business Support.

Experience and Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a purchasing role.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate procurement activities.
• Experience in maintaining supplier relationships.
• Familiarity with inventory management and stock control.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the Finance team at Holiday Inn Riyadh Rose Yard, part of the InterContinental Hotels Group. The role involves working collaboratively with various hotel departments and external suppliers in Riyadh.
