About the Opportunity

WSP in the Middle East is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a major data centre project located east of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is integral to the successful delivery of critical infrastructure, focusing on mechanical design, installation, and commissioning activities.

The Role

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical aspects of the project, ensuring that all works meet stringent project specifications, international standards, and client requirements. This position requires a professional with a strong understanding of mechanical systems within large-scale projects, particularly data centres.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical works, including HVAC, chilled water systems, plumbing, fire protection, and associated utilities.
• Review and manage mechanical design drawings, calculations, and technical submittals.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
• Monitor site installation works to ensure full compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Support the testing, commissioning, and handover processes of mechanical systems.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and site coordination challenges promptly.
• Ensure adherence to project schedules, safety requirements, and quality objectives.
• Prepare technical reports and provide engineering support to the project team.

Required Experience

Candidates must possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, ideally within data centre or similar critical infrastructure projects. A proven track record in overseeing mechanical design, installation, and commissioning activities is essential for this role.

Work Environment and Location
