Senior Procurement Specialist / Supervisor

Watania Steel is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist / Supervisor to manage the sourcing and purchasing of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) supplies. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will lead the procurement process for MRO supplies, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery. This role requires strong expertise in steel-industry procurement, a deep understanding of the local supplier market, and proven skills in negotiation and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement of MRO supplies, focusing on cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
• Develop and maintain a robust vendor base, including identifying and qualifying new suppliers for MRO categories.
• Conduct competitive sourcing, cost/price analysis, and commercial negotiations with suppliers.
• Manage contracts and service agreements with MRO vendors, ensuring compliance with commercial terms.
• Execute Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor market prices and sourcing trends to support cost-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and warehouse teams to align procurement activities with plant needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the steel industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in sourcing and purchasing MRO supplies.
• Strong knowledge of the local supplier market in Saudi Arabia.
• Proven negotiation and vendor management skills.

This position is a full-time role located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
