Service Technician

About the Role

Johnson Controls Arabia is seeking a Service Technician to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves performing essential maintenance, repair, installation, and servicing activities, working closely with a mentor to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventative maintenance activities.
• Execute repair, installation, and commissioning tasks.
• Conduct general servicing activities for systems and equipment.
• Address and resolve issues or problems within existing systems and processes, including making minor changes.
• Maintain direct customer contact to ensure high levels of satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience

• Associate's Degree or Technical Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience is required, with 4 years suggested as a strong baseline.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Ability to explain facts, practices, and policies to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in correcting or resolving well-defined issues within a single job area or discipline.
• Capacity to address vaguely defined problems that may require understanding of other job areas.
• Application of specialized knowledge in specific commercial, technical, or trade operations.
• Ability to deliver output according to specific operational targets and occasionally within broad operational targets.

Work Environment and Scope

This is an individual contributor role with no direct responsibility for leading others. The application of knowledge is primarily domestic, limited to locations within Saudi Arabia or neighboring countries with similar cultural contexts. The role involves addressing problems that are generally well-defined within a single job area, with occasional requirements to consider broader implications.
