About the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is for an experienced professional with a strong background in structural engineering and large-scale construction projects.

Role Overview

The Sr. Structural Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating structural aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and addressing technical challenges. The role involves close collaboration with various engineering and project teams to facilitate smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Review and coordinate structural shop drawings, IFC drawings, and Bills of Quantities (BBS).
Manage elements related to reinforced concrete, structural steel, precast, foundations, beams, columns, slabs, and walls.
Identify design discrepancies, constructability issues, and site-related technical problems.
Prepare and follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical queries.
Coordinate with Structural, Architectural, MEP, BIM, QA/QC, Construction, and Procurement teams.
Review BIM models, method statements, and material/technical submittals to ensure compliance with approved requirements.
Provide technical support to the site team and ensure structural works adhere to approved drawings and specifications.
Monitor engineering submissions, revisions, approvals, and overall project requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering.
Demonstrated experience with large-scale construction projects.
Strong understanding of structural design principles and construction practices.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a project-focused environment at Alfanar Projects. The role requires active collaboration with diverse technical and project teams.
