Architect Inspector at WSP Middle East

WSP Middle East is seeking a Saudi National Architect Inspector to join its supervision team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, project-based role offers the opportunity to contribute to landmark projects and work within a global organization, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of professionals.

Role Purpose and Project Context

The Architect Inspector will ensure that all construction activities are executed in accordance with approved architectural and engineering plans. This position is integral to a high-impact development project, focusing on the supervision and verification of structural and architectural components to meet design specifications and project standards in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure all construction activities are executed in accordance with approved architectural and engineering plans.
• Supervise the implementation of structural and architectural components, verifying compliance with design specifications and project standards.
• Monitor structural elements during construction to uphold safety, integrity, and stability requirements.
• Collaborate with structural engineers to resolve any structural concerns or discrepancies encountered on-site.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of construction materials and systems, ensuring they meet both architectural and structural criteria.
• Conduct routine inspections of materials to confirm quality and adherence to project specifications.
• Work closely with architects and design professionals to address and resolve design-related issues during construction.
• Provide input on construction details to ensure consistency with the overall design intent.
• Review and update construction documentation, including drawings and specifications, to reflect approved changes and modifications.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date as-built drawings for future reference and project close-out.

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university.

Professional Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience working with a reputable architectural consultancy.
• Strong background in site-based architectural supervision and post-contract responsibilities.
• Experience with high-rise commercial and residential projects.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and client relationship skills.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time, project-based position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires active participation within a collaborative project team.
