About the Role

Amazon Saudi Arabia (ex-Souq) is seeking an Area Manager, Fulfillment Center Operations to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time, hands-on role involves leading a large and diverse team within a fast-paced operational environment, ensuring business operations keep pace with demand and run seamlessly.

Role Overview

As an Area Manager, you will gain experience in the complexities of operations within a global business. You will be responsible for implementing your team’s approach to drive productivity and will collaborate closely with colleagues to address operational challenges. The dynamic nature of this role ensures that no two days are the same, requiring adaptability and proactive problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a culture focused on safety and wellbeing across the team and site.
• Analyze performance data and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent high levels of quality and productivity, meeting business objectives across all shifts.
• Support and lead a team, managing administrative tasks while fostering a strong team culture.
• Analyze operational performance and propose process improvements to optimize workflows and enhance customer service.
• Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes and best practices.

Operational Focus

A primary focus of this position is to maintain safety standards within your team and across the operational site, alongside monitoring and maintaining process efficiency. Daily tasks include prioritizing routine team management and operational duties, as well as handling individual escalations, engaging in process improvement initiatives, and contributing to wide-scale operational contingency planning. The role requires collaboration with colleagues from other teams and external partners to meet customer demands and targets, involving data analysis with business area leaders and discussions on technical improvements with engineers.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in operations management or a similar field.

Work Environment

This full-time position requires working various shifts and will be based at one of Amazon's operational sites in Riyadh.
