Role Context and Scope

As an Area Manager, you will gain hands-on experience leading a significant operational area within a global business. The role focuses on driving team productivity and ensuring that business objectives are consistently met across all shifts. You will work closely with colleagues to address operational challenges, contributing to a dynamic work environment where continuous improvement is key.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing within the team and across the site.
• Analyze and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent high levels of quality and productivity, meeting business objectives across all shifts.
• Support and lead a team, handling administrative tasks while fostering a strong team culture.
• Analyze performance data and suggest process improvements to optimize work and enhance customer service.
• Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes and operational best practices.

Daily Operational Focus

Daily operations involve working shifts at one of our operational sites, with a primary focus on maintaining safety standards across your team and the entire facility. You will monitor and maintain process efficiency, prioritize routine team management, and handle daily operational tasks. This includes addressing individual escalations, engaging in process improvement initiatives, and contributing to wide-scale operational contingency planning.

Collaboration is essential, requiring engagement with colleagues from other teams and external partners to meet customer demands and targets. This involves analyzing data and performance metrics with business area leaders and discussing the operational implications of technical improvements with engineers.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant operational leadership role. A proven ability to lead diverse teams and drive operational excellence within a complex environment is essential.

Work Environment and Location
