ASSISTANT CONSULTANT PEDIATRIC CRITICAL CARE

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking an Assistant Consultant in Pediatric Critical Care. This full-time position involves assisting in the provision of medical care within the Pediatric Critical Care field and supervising interns and residents. The role operates in accordance with current medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and hospital policies and procedures, requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Consultant in providing patient care and management in Pediatric Critical Care, adhering to established medical standards.
• Deliver high-quality patient care across all aspects of Pediatric Critical Care, consistent with approved clinical privileges.
• Provide inpatient and emergency room consultations upon request, responding promptly within the hospital's prescribed timeframe.
• Ensure timely completion, accuracy, and legibility of medical records.
• Provide on-call service, ensuring availability and response within the timeframe specified by hospital policy.
• Conduct daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge and ensure discharge orders are written 24 hours prior to discharge.
• Perform other clinical responsibilities related to the specialty as assigned.

Training and Development

• Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows as assigned.
• Participate in the department’s educational activities and training programs.
• Engage in national and international medical conferences.
• Maintain and enhance professional knowledge and fulfill continuing education requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in Pediatric Critical Care.
• Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality patient care and supervise medical trainees.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to medical standards.
