About the Role

Mina Excellence is seeking an Automation Patch & Configuration Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to enhancing operational efficiency, infrastructure consistency, security, and compliance through automation and standardized configuration management across enterprise IT environments.

Role Overview

The Automation Patch & Configuration Engineer is responsible for infrastructure automation, scripting, patch management, configuration compliance, and automated remediation. This position involves working with various IT teams to ensure robust and compliant infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts and workflows.
Automate repetitive infrastructure administration and operational tasks.
Develop automation using Ansible, PowerShell, and other scripting tools.
Plan and execute operating system and infrastructure patching activities.
Monitor patch deployment and resolve failed or incomplete deployments.
Maintain patch compliance and reporting.
Manage infrastructure configuration baselines and compliance.
Identify configuration deviations and implement corrective actions.
Develop automated remediation workflows for recurring infrastructure issues.
Integrate automation with monitoring and ITSM platforms where applicable.
Troubleshoot automation, patching, and configuration issues.
Support L2/L3 infrastructure incidents and technical escalations.
Work with Windows, Linux, VMware, Cloud, Network, and Security teams.
Maintain automation scripts, configuration documentation, and operational procedures.
Support continuous improvement and infrastructure optimization initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.
Proficiency in developing automation scripts and workflows.
Experience with Ansible, PowerShell, and other scripting tools.
Strong understanding of operating system and infrastructure patching.
Knowledge of infrastructure configuration management and compliance.

Work Environment

This role involves collaboration with various technical teams including Windows, Linux, VMware, Cloud, Network, and Security. The position is based in Riyadh and operates on a full-time schedule.
