About the Bid Engineer Role

Diyar United Company is seeking a Bid Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and involves leading the production of bids and quotations in response to customer requests. The role demands close collaboration with technical, sales, and support teams, as well as external partners, to develop winning proposals.

Key Responsibilities

The Bid Engineer will be responsible for managing the bid submission process, from initial tender review to final sign-off. This includes:

• Acting as the primary engineer for bids, coordinating submissions with pre-sales, technical, support, and sales teams.
• Developing plans for efficient bid management aligned with company best practices and customer requirements.
• Reviewing tender documents to thoroughly understand customer needs.
• Arranging for necessary pre-sales, technical, and support resources to contribute to bids.
• Liaising with relevant departments to gather and incorporate necessary documentation into bids.
• Authoring, tailoring, and reviewing proposal content for RFIs, RFPs, and other bid documents.
• Designing the structure, content, and visual presentation of bids and proposals.
• Performing editorial reviews of bid documents.
• Organizing bid review meetings, documenting, and circulating meeting notes and action items.
• Challenging and questioning proposal inputs from a customer perspective.
• Assisting in the development of deal strategies and approaches.
• Conducting internal and external research to support bid production.
• Reviewing, verifying, and optimizing project costing in coordination with stakeholders, including Pre-Sales, Sales, Bids Director, Regional Director, and CEO.
• Ensuring all client questions are answered comprehensively to maximize the chance of success.
• Signing off on proposals and their content.
• Supervising and processing additional assignments from management.
• Ensuring timely and within-budget bid submissions.
• Actively seeking to implement lessons learned and improve processes in line with Diyar United Company objectives.
• Managing the Etimad tender lifecycle end-to-end, including opportunity identification, tender download, bid submission, clarification management, contract award, and post-award coordination.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer & Communication Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 4 years in a similar role within a leading IT or System Integration Company.
• Experience in a coordination role within an office environment.
• Proven experience in reviewing, writing, editing, and producing large technical and commercial documents.
• Experience in writing, editing, and producing sales and marketing material is desirable but not essential.
• An excellent understanding of Platform and Application Solutions.
• Proficiency in proposal writing.
• Knowledge of project costing techniques.

Work Environment and Collaboration

This role is based in Riyadh and operates on a full-time basis. It requires extensive interaction with Sales and Technical Staff, as well as other Support Functions within Diyar United Company. Collaboration with Partner Companies will also be a key aspect of the position.
