About the Role

DeepSource Technologies, in partnership with a global technology leader, is seeking a Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Specialist. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and requires 0-1 years of experience. The role focuses on developing and implementing strategies to ensure the continuity of essential business operations.

Role Overview

The Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Specialist will be responsible for leading comprehensive risk assessments and formulating disaster recovery (DR) strategies. This position requires expertise in DR planning, risk management, and a strong technical understanding of modern DR technologies and methodologies to safeguard business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities impacting various business functions.
Evaluate existing DR plans to identify inefficiencies and gaps, recommending substantive improvements.
Analyze and establish recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) for critical business processes.
Develop and implement comprehensive DR plans aligned with industry best practices and organizational requirements.
Initiate recovery teams, define roles and responsibilities, and lead regular preparatory exercises.
Guide the selection and implementation of DR solutions, including backup technologies, data centers, and procedural recoveries.
Direct the testing and validation of DR schemes, ensuring their efficacy and rectifying any deficiencies.
Provide technical advice and support to internal teams regarding DR-related issues.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated success in developing and enforcing DR plans within complex entities.
In-depth knowledge of DR technologies, tools, and methodologies, with a focus on cloud-based solutions.
Familiarity with DR best practices, industry standards (*, NIST CSF, ISO 27001), and regulatory frameworks.
A solid understanding of risk management methodologies and threat analysis techniques.

Skills and Certifications

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
Preferred credentials include Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar certifications.
