About the Business Development Engineer Role

Aljazea Contracting & Trading is seeking a Business Development Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in the contracting and construction industry to drive business growth and manage key relationships.

Role Overview and Objectives

The Business Development Engineer will be instrumental in expanding the company's market presence and service offerings. The primary focus will be on identifying and securing new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships with clients and stakeholders, and enhancing the company's scope of work within the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the contractor prequalification and vendor registration processes with government entities, major corporations, and private sector organizations.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction and contracting sectors.
• Develop and implement business development and marketing strategies for contracting services.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends and analyze competitor activities to identify growth and expansion opportunities.
• Support tendering and bidding activities, including proposal preparation and submission.
• Expand the company’s service portfolio and contracting scope to increase market share.
• Coordinate with internal teams to secure project awards and ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development specifically within the construction and contracting industry.
• Proven experience managing contractor prequalification and vendor registration processes.
• A strong understanding of procurement and tendering procedures within government and corporate sectors.
