About EFA Group and the Role
EFA Group is an international organization with a strong presence in Aerospace, Security, Defense, and Industrial Cooperation. Comprising 14 companies across 4 thematic clusters—Unmanned & Autonomous Systems, Mission Systems Simulation and Training, Integrated Solutions, and Sensors & Targeting—the Group operates offices in 6 regions and serves customers in 34 countries. EFA Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is remote but requires significant hands-on engagement in field trials and practical experience.
Role Purpose
The Business Development Manager will be fully responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring successful contract closures within Saudi Arabia. This role involves leading business development and account management efforts, driving sales growth, and expanding the company’s market presence, particularly within the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development and account management efforts across Saudi Arabia.
- Identify new business opportunities and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, armed forces, public agencies, and decision-makers.
- Drive sales growth and expand the company’s market presence, enhancing visibility within all branches of the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces.
- Represent EFA Group at trade shows, industry events, regional exhibitions, and high-level customer meetings.
- Collaborate with internal teams (capture, marketing, engineering, legal, finance, program management) to develop tailored solutions for clients and address client requirements effectively.
- Organize and perform frequent demonstrations and field trials of company products.
- Generate, qualify, and develop international business opportunities aligned with company objectives, managing opportunity qualification, pipeline development, forecasting, and prioritization.
- Lead and support negotiations and deal closures with international clients and partners, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Actively drive brand awareness of EFA Group companies, products, and solutions, positioning the Group as a trusted partner in defense, security, aerospace, and industrial high-tech environments.
- Develop and manage partnerships with local system integrators, prime contractors, and technology partners.
- Support and contribute to RFI, RFP, RFQ, and tender processes, including proposal strategy, partner selection, pricing inputs, and negotiation support.
- Track and report KPIs such as revenue growth, pipeline health, market share, and profitability, providing structured market intelligence and competitor insights to senior management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- University degree, with a focus on Engineering or Information and Communications Technology.
- Proven track record in delivering successful business outcomes and meeting sales quotas in the international marketplace, preferably in projects with high technological content.
- Mandatory experience and knowledge of the Defence sector.
- Strong local market presence and network in Saudi Arabia (KSA).
- Willingness to travel internationally as required, spending over 65% of time on the road.
- Strong business acumen and relationship-building skills.
