The Role of Civil Section Head

SSCL is seeking a Civil Section Head to lead complex civil engineering projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves ensuring that designs, plans, and construction adhere to technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The Civil Section Head will provide guidance to junior engineers, manage site operations, and support project teams to deliver high-quality civil infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring quality, safety, and technical compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver integrated project solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site teams.
• Conduct site inspections and oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and schedules.
• Review and approve drawings, plans, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Evaluate design options and recommend cost-effective, practical, and high-performance solutions.
• Manage site resources, project budgets, risks, and timelines to optimize project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate project achievements, challenges, and variations.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in civil engineering roles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex civil engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
