About the Cloud Security Engineer Role

Nextwo Co. is seeking a full-time Cloud Security Engineer to join its cybersecurity team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is focused on protecting the enterprise cloud infrastructure by designing, implementing, and monitoring robust security controls. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring secure cloud deployments and supporting continuous security improvement initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud security controls and best practices.
• Monitor cloud environments and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Manage Identity & Access Management (IAM) and cloud security policies.
• Conduct security assessments and support compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, DevOps, and Application teams to ensure secure cloud deployments.
• Support cloud incident response and continuous security improvement.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess strong hands-on experience in cloud security and a solid understanding of modern cybersecurity practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in Cloud Security or Cybersecurity.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM), Cloud Network Security, Security Monitoring & Logging, Vulnerability Management, and Cloud Security Best Practices.
• Experience with cloud-native security services such as AWS Security Hub, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, or Google Security Command Center.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Desired Skills and Certifications

• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and container security.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD security.
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, or CSPM solutions.
• Relevant cloud security certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, CCSP, Security+, etc.).
