Position Summary

Grant Thornton Saudi Arabia is seeking a CMMI Level Consultant to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and is central to driving continuous process optimization and performance improvement across the firm. The Consultant will be responsible for the design and maintenance of process and Quality Management System (QMS) frameworks, enabling data-driven decision making, and ensuring CMMI compliance.

Role Overview

The CMMI Level Consultant acts as the firm's senior point of accountability for CMMI compliance, governance, and appraisal readiness. This position requires a process excellence leader capable of applying quantitative methods, predictive analytics, and structured improvement techniques to enhance organizational maturity. The Consultant will coordinate with service line leaders, project managers, and operational teams to embed sustainable change, championing process excellence, defect prevention, and a continuous improvement culture. Accountability extends to process maturity outcomes, KPI performance, audit and appraisal results, and capability building across the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across functions, ensuring measurable performance gains and embedded change.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and design and implement optimization strategies aligned with firm strategy and quality objectives.
  • Introduce innovative practices and identify automation opportunities to enhance productivity, consistency, and resilience.
  • Apply statistical methods, including Statistical Process Control (SPC) and regression-based analysis, to manage and control processes.
  • Define KPIs and establish performance baselines across services, functions, and engagements.
  • Define, document, and maintain processes and the QMS, ensuring fitness for purpose and alignment with CMMI requirements.
  • Monitor process capability and variation, escalating exceptions and initiating corrective and preventive actions.
  • Apply predictive models to anticipate risks, schedule slippage, quality issues, and resourcing pressures.
  • Utilize data analytics to support strategic decisions, prioritization, and investment cases.
  • Enable proactive issue resolution through early-warning indicators.

CMMI Compliance and Organizational Development

  • Ensure full alignment with CMMI Integration Level 5 standards across in-scope service lines and functions.
  • Lead internal and external audits and CMMI appraisals, including readiness assessments, evidence preparation, and remediation planning.
  • Maintain process documentation, control libraries, and governance frameworks to a standard suitable for regulator-grade scrutiny.
  • Train teams on process excellence, quality practices, and CMMI expectations.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and structured problem solving.
  • Mentor project managers and operational teams, embedding consistent ways of working across the firm.
  • Implement structured root cause analysis techniques across quality events, audit findings, and operational incidents.
  • Develop and track preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues at source.
  • Track defect trends and improvement impact, reporting outcomes to leadership and incorporating lessons learned into the QMS.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations, or a related discipline.
  • 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Preferred certifications include CMMI Associate or CMMI Practitioner, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and PMP (optional).
