About Sanabil Studio and Makan

Sanabil Studio operates as a venture builder, integrating industry knowledge, technology, and startup expertise to develop new businesses from initial concepts to launch. Ventures demonstrating potential receive seed funding and operational support for scaling. Makan, a venture supported by Sanabil Studio, aims to redefine homeownership in Saudi Arabia through a rent-to-own model. This model allows residents to move in with a 10% down payment, build equity through rent payments, and potentially refinance into a standard bank mortgage after five years using their accumulated equity. Sanabil Studio provides Makan with financial modeling, pre-seed capital, operational infrastructure, and institutional governance.

The Role: Co-Founder & Capital & Finance Lead

This full-time role, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, involves end-to-end ownership of the business's capital raising, structuring, and financial modeling. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing debt and equity, structuring funds and deal mechanics, and managing investor relations from the Letter of Intent (LOI) through signed commitment. This position requires close collaboration with a Real Estate & Asset co-founder and the Sanabil Studio Investment Committee to transition a validated model into closed capital and a licensed fund structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee investor relations, including pitching, negotiating, and closing capital partners from LOI to signed commitment.
  • Manage the regulatory and fund pathway, from SPV to CMA-licensed fund, and all investor reporting.
  • Contribute to defining and executing Makan's go-to-market and capital strategy alongside the co-founder.
  • Represent the venture before the Sanabil Studio Investment Committee and institutional LPs.
  • Recruit and lead Makan's founding team across commercial, operations, and product functions.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

  • Experience raising debt and/or equity for funds, SPVs, or real-asset-backed vehicles as a fund manager, investment banker, or capital markets professional.
  • Demonstrated experience structuring term sheets, waterfalls, or fee economics for institutional investors, family offices, or LPs.
  • Understanding of how Saudi family offices, capitals, and banks evaluate real-asset-backed paper and the process for closing commitments.
  • Proficiency in building and defending financial models, calculating ROI, and structuring capital stacks.
  • Prior leadership experience in a fundraising process or capital-raising function, including investor reporting and governance.
  • Deep understanding of the Saudi capital markets and regulatory environment (SAMA, CMA).
  • Currently based in or willing to relocate to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Saudi Nationals are preferred.

Desired Attributes

  • A named anchor LP or family office relationship capable of providing significant initial investment.
  • Experience with sukuk issuance or structured private placements.
  • Previous experience working with or within a venture studio or venture builder.

First-Year Success Metrics

  • Closing initial capital commitments from investors or family offices.
  • Establishing a licensed and functional fund/SPV structure.
  • Developing a financial model and investor reporting rhythm trusted by the Investment Committee.
  • Achieving recognition as a credible representative of the venture among institutional LPs.
  • Operating independently alongside the co-founder with minimal supervision.
