About the Role

MAJID AL FUTTAIM is seeking a Commercial Manager - Butchery to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to leading the commercial strategy for the entire Butchery category, encompassing Fresh Meat, Poultry, Processed Meat, and Value-Added Meat products across all stores. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and profitability while ensuring product quality and an exceptional customer experience.

Role Purpose

The Commercial Manager - Butchery is tasked with developing and executing a comprehensive commercial strategy. This includes optimizing sourcing excellence, fostering strong supplier partnerships, and driving category innovation. The role ensures consistent freshness, availability, and strict compliance with food safety standards for all butchery products, directly contributing to business objectives and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the Butchery category to achieve sales, margin, and growth objectives.
• Manage category assortment, pricing, promotions, and seasonal plans to meet customer demand and business targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers to secure high-quality products and competitive commercial terms.
• Lead supplier negotiations, annual trading agreements, investment plans, and promotional funding initiatives.
• Monitor category performance, including sales, gross margin, waste, shrinkage, stock availability, and inventory turnover.
• Ensure all meat and poultry products comply with food safety, quality, halal, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, and Store teams to optimize product availability and operational execution.
• Analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and category innovation.
• Drive the development of value-added products and premium ranges to enhance customer experience and category profitability.
• Ensure category plans align with business objectives, customer expectations, and market opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 7+ years of relevant experience in commercial management, particularly within the butchery or fresh food categories. A proven track record in driving sales, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards is essential.
