Communications Leader

About the Role

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Communications Leader for the META Region. This full-time role, based in Riyadh, focuses on developing and executing an integrated communications program for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the wider META region. The position aims to build awareness, deepen understanding, and inspire action among internal and external stakeholders, reporting to the Senior Director of Communications for Latin America and EMEA.

Role Context and Responsibilities

This is a hands-on, sole contributor role suitable for a seasoned communications professional with over 10 years of experience, preferably in-house at a large, matrixed B2B organization. The Communications Leader will be responsible for telling the brand story to internal and external audiences across the KSA&B growth region, supporting Honeywell's evolution into a leading pure-play automation company.

• Develop and drive the strategy for a holistic internal and external communications plan for the KSA&B region, aligning with business objectives.
• Lead regional media programs linked to business strategy and industry trends, in partnership with the Senior Communications Manager for META.
• Lead Executive Positioning strategies for the regional President to secure top-tier media coverage and support employee engagement.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key reporters/media, managing inquiries and interview requests across the wider META region.
• Develop and deploy innovative tactics for delivering compelling messaging to employees in KSA&B and across META.
• Support major initiatives, organizational transitions, and leadership changes through effective communication plans.
• Coordinate budget, vendor relationships, event management, and project teams as appropriate.
• Collaborate with businesses, functions, and government relations on crisis and issues management.
• Oversee content development for press releases, bylined articles, key messages, media statements, Q&A documents, and briefings.
• Champion AI within the Communications space.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven track record of results, change communications, and executive positioning internally and externally.
• At least 10-12 years of in-house experience, preferably in a large, matrixed B2B organization.
• Deep experience in B2B media relations, with proven ability to convert complex technologies into impactful stories.
• Comprehensive understanding of the political, economic, cultural, and social nuances within Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the wider Middle East and North Africa region.
• Strong contact list of Saudi-based media.
• Proficiency in internal communications tools including Poppulo and VivaEngage.
• Experience in running executive positioning programs, including across digital media platforms.

Skills and Attributes

• Outstanding fluent English written communications skills.
• Arabic language fluency is preferred.
• Strong (AP style) writing skills, with the ability to develop clear, concise messages aligned with corporate messaging.
• Ability to think strategically, provide communications counsel, and develop plans to drive results.
• Ability to identify issues proactively and execute actions to minimize impact.
• Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a matrix organizational structure with shifting priorities.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Intimate understanding of social media, especially LinkedIn, and advanced understanding of leveraging channels like Viva Engage for employee engagement.
• Strong business acumen and partnering, consulting, and influencing skills across all organizational levels.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh and requires the ability to travel 10-15% of the time. The successful candidate will operate effectively in a dynamic environment, working tactically and strategically as part of a broader team.
