About the Role

alfanar is seeking a Financial Controller to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, and management within a specific division. The role ensures alignment with the organization's overall financial strategy, providing critical financial insights, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation guidance to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop financial strategies that support business growth and sustainability, leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and business performance, analyzing variances and recommending actions to improve margins and cost efficiency.
  • Provide financial insights for pricing, investments, and operational decisions, including building business cases and conducting scenario modeling.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, ensuring optimal allocation of financial resources across business units.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance, coordinating with audit, tax, and legal teams to manage financial risks.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial reports to leadership, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for decision-makers.

Operational and Managerial Accountabilities

  • Manage and develop team members, including recruiting, cultivating high performers, and guiding or releasing low performers based on performance criteria.
  • Assume full responsibility for divisional operations and deliverables, anticipating problems and making timely, proactive decisions.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of required results with specified quality and cost.
  • Drive tangible improvements within the area of operation, aiming to exceed business expectations.
  • Translate corporate goals into business plans, monitoring performance, initiating corrective actions, and providing periodic work progress reports.
  • Monitor and control budgets and expenses to achieve optimum cost efficiency.

Organizational Development and Standards

  • Develop and update the organizational structure based on current and future requirements, ensuring job descriptions are available for all roles.
  • Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities and promoting the full use of relevant IT solutions.
  • Uphold alfanar’s commitment to quality as a prime competitive advantage.
  • Adapt to new and alternative techniques, technologies, management structures, and business models.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and legal work environment in accordance with standard regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance or any relevant field.
  • A minimum of 6 to 10 years of relevant work experience.

Work Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
