About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Cook II to join the team in Riyadh. This full-time position is responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring a high level of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food items.
Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients accurately.
Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
Prepare cold food items as required.
Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
Test foods to determine sufficient cooking and monitor food quality during preparation.
Set up and break down the workstation efficiently.
Serve food in proper portions using appropriate receptacles.
Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
Check and ensure the correctness of appliance and food temperatures.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
Complete all required safety training and certifications.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
Communicate with colleagues using clear and professional language.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members, supporting common goals and responding appropriately to concerns.
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications and Experience

0-1 year of relevant experience is required for this role.
