About the Role

Future Look ITC is seeking a Data Annotator to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a contract position suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience. The primary purpose of this role is to prepare high-quality, consistently labeled data essential for the development, evaluation, and improvement of machine learning and AI systems.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The Data Annotator will apply project guidelines to various data types, including text, images, audio, and video. This role involves identifying and flagging unclear or sensitive cases, and collaborating with reviewers and project leads to resolve annotation issues, thereby maintaining reliable datasets. The contribution of this role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data used for advanced AI and machine learning applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project instructions and annotation guidelines thoroughly, seeking clarification for any ambiguities.
• Label, classify, transcribe, categorize, or annotate assigned data using approved tools and standards.
• Ensure consistent application of labels across various data formats, adhering to project requirements.
• Verify completed annotations for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, and correct use of defined labels.
• Flag ambiguous, incomplete, low-quality, or sensitive data for review instead of making assumptions.
• Incorporate feedback from reviewers and update annotations as required.
• Meet project timelines while strictly following documented quality and data-handling procedures.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of project data, using it solely for authorized work.
• Document recurring questions or guideline gaps and share them with the project lead to support process improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education is considered an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently follow written instructions.
• Good reading and comprehension skills in the languages specified by the project.
• Basic computer proficiency and confidence in using web-based tools, spreadsheets, and annotation platforms.
• Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy.
• Clear written communication skills and openness to receiving and applying feedback.
• Previous experience in data annotation, content review, transcription, or quality checking is an advantage.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and adhere to data protection procedures.

Work Environment and Contract Details

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and operates on a contract basis. The successful candidate will work within a team focused on data preparation for machine learning and AI systems. Salary details will be discussed during the interview process.
