About the Denodo Developer Role

Salt is seeking an experienced Denodo Developer to join a leading organization in Riyadh. This full-time position involves playing a key role in building a modern enterprise data platform, delivering scalable, high-performance data virtualization solutions to support enterprise analytics and digital transformation initiatives. The role requires 5-10 years of experience and offers a tax-free salary.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a Denodo Developer, you will work within a collaborative data engineering team to design, develop, and support enterprise data virtualization solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing Denodo virtual views, data services, and semantic data models.
• Building reusable data services and APIs for enterprise-wide data consumption.
• Integrating data from diverse sources including relational databases, cloud platforms, APIs, and flat files.
• Developing VQL scripts, transformations, joins, and federated queries.
• Optimizing query performance through caching, indexing, and tuning.
• Configuring and supporting Denodo environments across Development, Test, and Production.
• Implementing security measures, data masking, RBAC, metadata management, and governance standards.
• Monitoring platform health, resolving production issues, and supporting deployments.
• Collaborating with Data Architects, BI teams, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Producing technical documentation and promoting development standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for candidates with strong hands-on Denodo development experience and a commitment to building enterprise data platforms. Ideal candidates will possess:

• Proven experience developing and administering the Denodo Platform.
• A strong understanding of Data Virtualization architecture and principles.
• Excellent SQL and VQL development skills.
• Experience designing logical and semantic data models.
• Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Experience with Data Warehousing and ETL/ELT concepts.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing large-scale enterprise data environments.
