Digital Tech Lead

About the Role

Hatch is seeking a Digital Tech Lead to join the Product Development team within its Digital Practice in Riyadh, Riyadh Region. This full-time role involves leading digital transformation initiatives by implementing emerging digital services into projects and operations to enhance performance. The successful candidate will contribute to improving project outcomes, leveraging digital twin technologies, and delivering systems integration and interoperability.

Role Overview

This position focuses on identifying, designing, building, and productizing Hatch's deep subject matter expertise across a portfolio of client engagements. These engagements range from new builds to the revitalization of existing solutions. The Digital Tech Lead will act as the technical point of reference for a small group of contributors, including developers and data engineers, and will operate across multiple concurrent engagements, emphasizing collaboration and communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for a small team of developers and data engineers across bespoke client engagements.
• Provide mentorship, conduct code reviews, and offer architectural direction to project teams to ensure quality product and solution delivery.
• Manage end-to-end delivery for a portfolio of concurrent engagements, from requirements clarification through deployment.
• Apply AI-assisted development practices, including prompt design, agent workflows, multi-file refactors, and human review of AI-generated code.
• Work effectively within Agile teams to complete committed backlogs and operate semi-autonomously on smaller engagements.
• Execute user stories according to acceptance criteria and participate in estimating, sprint planning, SDLC activities, code reviews, testing, research, deployments, and documentation.
• Contribute to design and architecture decisions for both front-end and back-end concerns.
• Communicate open items, risks, and trade-offs to key stakeholders, including management.
• Stay informed on technology developments and AI tooling advancements relevant to current and future initiatives.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment with shared code, utilizing source control and process documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in a relevant technical role.
• Strong front-end and back-end development capabilities.
• Demonstrated fluency in AI-assisted development workflows.
• Exceptional communication skills and an outcome-oriented approach.
• Experience operating across multiple engagements and serving as a technical reference point for other contributors.
• Working familiarity with Microsoft Azure services (Storage Accounts, B2C, Key Vault, API Services, Functions) for development and troubleshooting.
• Experience designing end-to-end solutions and/or products.
• Experience collaborating with data engineers and other cross-discipline contributors.
• Experience evaluating new development frameworks and technologies, providing adoption recommendations.
• Experience with software quality assurance methodologies and technologies.
• Experience building consensus across teams.

Additional Assets

• Familiarity with Google Cloud services.
• Experience adapting development practices for AI-augmented teams, including workflow design, agent tooling, and review discipline.
• An understanding of various skillsets required for product development, including subject matter experts, engineers, designers, and user experience practitioners.
