About Qiddiya and the Role

Qiddiya (القدية) is seeking a Director Development Strategy to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to shaping the residential portfolio within the Qiddiya Residential Business Unit, focusing on strategic development and market alignment.

Role Overview

This development-centric role involves working with multiple teams to deliver an efficient portfolio with products suitable for target demographics that evolve across the maturity period of various masterplans. The Director Development Strategy will balance strategic thinking and execution at a portfolio level, with market intelligence driving all strategies and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create development strategies for different products within Qiddiya's portfolio, ensuring alignment with market demands.
• Identify interim land-use opportunities specifically focused on the residential portfolio.
• Identify real estate market challenges, assess risks for rolling out residential assets, and develop comprehensive mitigation strategies.
• Assess multiple products and solutions suitable for the Saudi market, recommending ideal products per stage based on detailed analysis.
• Support the product innovation workstream through thorough benchmarking.

Strategic Collaboration and Management

• Cooperate with development, design, and delivery teams to identify opportunities for enhanced efficiency across Qiddiya's product offerings.
• Work on procurement strategies, including scope definition, assessment, award, and management of consultants.
• Support strategic stakeholder management and the identification of strategic partners across different workstreams.
• Create presentations for N-1 panels, management, and provide inputs for Board of Directors presentations.

Candidate Requirements

Candidates for the Director Development Strategy role must possess over 10 years of relevant experience in development strategy, real estate, or a related field. A strong understanding of market dynamics, strategic planning, and project execution is essential for success in this position.
