About Qiddiya and the Role

Qiddiya is seeking a Director - Gaming & Esports Asset Strategy to join its team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time position is central to the planning, development, and advancement of Gaming and Esports assets across the Qiddiya destination.

Role Overview

The Director will oversee the end-to-end asset strategy lifecycle, from initial concept definition through Stage Gate approvals. This involves leading the strategic development of multiple assets, encompassing value proposition design, target audience definition, demand and supply assessment, financial feasibility support, operator selection strategy, and procurement planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development of Gaming and Esports assets, defining value propositions, target audiences, experience design principles, demand and supply dynamics, and overall commercial positioning.
• Translate high-level vision into structured asset strategies that articulate product concepts, operating model logic, and market differentiation.
• Support financial feasibility and business case development in collaboration with Finance and Development teams to ensure commercial robustness and investment readiness.
• Design and oversee operator selection strategies, including procurement approach, evaluation frameworks, and appointment processes for operating partners and specialist advisors.
• Coordinate cross-functional inputs across Strategy, Partnerships, Development, Legal, Procurement, and Finance to ensure integrated asset progression.
• Drive the advancement of priority Gaming and Esports assets across multiple districts, ensuring alignment with broader masterplanning, IP strategy, and destination objectives.
• Develop executive-level presentations, business cases, and briefing materials to support leadership decision-making and external stakeholder engagement.
• Contribute to budgeting, phasing, and capital planning discussions to ensure effective prioritization and delivery of assets.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in strategic planning, asset development, or a related field, preferably within the gaming, esports, or entertainment sectors.

Skills and Attributes

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership in strategic development, an ability to translate vision into actionable plans, and expertise in financial feasibility, operator selection, and cross-functional coordination. Excellent communication skills for executive-level engagement are essential.

This is a full-time role based in Riyadh, where the Director will work within a dynamic environment focused on developing large-scale entertainment and leisure assets for Qiddiya.
