About the Role

OVI is seeking a Director - Risk & Compliance Advisory on behalf of a client for a full-time position based in Riyadh. This role requires a leader with significant expertise in the Asset Liability Management (ALM) domain, specifically focusing on liquidity, interest rate risk, and capital management. The position involves comprehensive practice management, including business development, client engagement, project execution, and staff coaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage client relationships through existing networks and proactive marketing efforts.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by leveraging client relationships and a strong understanding of financial services regulations.
  • Establish a thought leadership presence by developing industry articles and participating in leadership forums.
  • Recruit and develop skilled professionals capable of succeeding in financial services consulting.
  • Mentor and guide staff in project management and the development of domain-specific skills.
  • Ensure project profitability through effective staff utilization and recovery management.
  • Collaborate with other advisory practices to identify and develop cross-selling opportunities.

Candidate Profile and Expertise

The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of professional experience, with a strong preference for candidates coming from leading consulting firms or having held senior positions within the ALM function of a global bank. Specific expertise required includes:

  • Developing liquidity risk governance frameworks and metrics.
  • Operationalizing key liquidity risk metrics such as LCR and NSFR.
  • Preparing and defending ILAAP submissions to Asset and Liability Committees (ALCO) or regulatory bodies.
  • Experience with IRRBB (Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book) governance frameworks and policy documentation.
  • Designing and implementing EVE (Economic Value of Equity) and NII (Net Interest Income) sensitivity models.
  • Developing behavioral models for non-maturity deposits and loan prepayments.
  • Designing and implementing FTP (Funds Transfer Pricing) frameworks and conducting model validations.
  • Quantifying material P2 (Pillar 2) risk types under ICAAP (Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process).
  • Developing Recovery and Resolution Plans (RRPs) for banks.

Educational Background

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics. An MBA in Finance or a Chartered Accountancy qualification is also considered highly relevant.
